Description:   Stand: tall solid cylinder attached to bottom of lamp. Lamp: ring around base, ovoid body with max. diam. near middle, tapering to horizontal lip surrounded by groove; moderate fill hole; lug consisting of a smear of clay to lt. of nozzle; long shovel-shaped nozzle, flat on top, with rounded tip, large wick hole. Vertical ribbed handle attached to upper body.
Decoration:   Dull glaze, fired red-brown to brown-black, over all of lamp and very top of stand. Stand plain.
Material:   Fine clay with at least 1 white inclusion, fired pale buff at surface, grayish pink at core.
Munsell Color:   Surface: near 10YR 7/4 Core: 7.5YR 6/4
Condition:   Fragment. Lamp intact except for peeling glaze; only top of lamp stand preserved. Glaze peeling. Burning on nozzle.
