Lamp: ring around base, ovoid body with max. diam. near middle, tapering to horizontal lip surrounded by groove; moderate fill hole; lug consisting of a smear of clay to lt. of nozzle; long shovel-shaped nozzle, flat on top, with rounded tip, large wick hole. Vertical ribbed handle attached to upper body. | |
Decoration: | Dull glaze, fired red-brown to brown-black, over all of lamp and very top of stand. Stand plain. | |
Material: | Fine clay with at least 1 white inclusion, fired pale buff at surface, grayish pink at core. | |
