Description:   Leaf-shaped lamp with low base ring, flat undersurface, low wide-flaring body, broad sloping shoulder, giving biconical profile, wide fill hole D00.020, surrounded by 2 ridges and channel which extend to enclose nozzle, nozzle enclosed in body, with pointed tip, small wick hole. Solid lug handle opposite nozzle. For similar lamp see L-XXXX-3738.
Decoration:   On shoulder, in low relief: schematic vine, enclosing pair of branches and "sun" flanking handle, groups of circles with dots, star flanking nozzle. In channel between fill hole and nozzle, 3 raised lines.See L-XXXX-3738, decoration same but reorganized.
Material:   Hard-fired, somewhat coarse clay with abundant fine black, red, a few white, inclusions, fired salmon pink to off-white.
Munsell Color:   Slightly pinker than 5YR 6/6 to near 10YR 8/3
Condition:   Complete or intact. Intact except for tip of handle. Burning on nozzle.
