Description:   Bowl with ring foot with slightly rounded resting surface, flat concave undersurface, globular body flares outward sharply to nearly horizontal with an upturned tapered lip. Similar to C 1971-545 (unglazed carinated bowl) - same rim, pierced holes and surface finish but not carinated.
Decoration:   Self-slipped all over with a lightly burnished exterior. Two holes pierced in rim pre-firing.
Material:   Fine pink clay with rare small to medium rounded tabular white inclusions and rare small voids
Munsell Color:   10YR 8/4-6 (surface) 5YR 7/6 (core)
Condition:   Complete profile. Fourteen joining fragments preserve all of foot, three-quarters of body and half of rim.

Findspot Description:   There are two other broad bowls almost identical to this one in the same context. They have slightly larger rim diameters (0.24, 0.25) but both also have two holes pierced on one side of the rim (no matching set on other side).
