Decoration: | Yellowish slip and clear glaze inside and over lip. Incised decoration in slip, not enough preserved: one horizontal line with two upward diagonal extending from it to the lip and covered with dark yellow glaze. Thick carved horizontal band just under lip inside and two thinner bands under lip outside. Similar to C-36-953 and Lot 747+749 : 2. | |
Material: | Fine light reddish brown to reddish gray clay, with rare very large rounded, spherical black inclusions, and rare medium voids. Similar to White’s Quartz-Biotite Group B1. | |
