Description: | Terracotta solid handmade group of four dancers moving in circle with arms joined around flutist standing in center. Dancers, except one, have wide flat strip of clay applied around front of head as polos. Each has clay overfold from back to front as head, semi-circular face, broad short neck, flattened chest, bulky semi-flattened strips as arms joining dancers, upper body tilted outward slightly, cylindrical body flaring as attaches seamlessly to base. Flat circular base with pared and smoothed edge. Fingerprints on faces, chests, bottom of dancers, and base. Similar in size and style to KT2-11 (Corinth XV.2 Class II p. 43 no. 8 pl. 4) and KT2-7, 8, 9, 10 (Corinth XV.2 Class II p. 43 no. 4-7 pl. 4). | |
