Description: | The object is shaped to look like an egg. Its size is a bit smaller than the average hen egg today. It has a circular hole in the narrow end, perhaps for insertion of a handle, or possibly a vent hole to prevent it from bursting during firing. Though the fusion line can barely be discerned, it clearly shows that the rattle was made in two pieces and attached after insertion of clay pellets inside. | |
