Description:   Terracotta solid handmade group of four dancers moving in circle around central standing flutist. Dancer has flattened chest, small wide flat protrusion for start of arms, and cylindrical body. Each dancer and flutist have body ovoid in section, flaring at bottom attaching seamlessly to base. Flat rounded square base, slightly concave beneath central flutist, with pared and smoothed edge. Fingerprints on base near figures. Similar in shape to MF-11494.
Material:   Fine reddish yellow clay with few fine sparkling and rare medium tabular angular white inclusions and rare tabular angular voids
Munsell Color:   Clay: 7.5YR 7/6 (reddish yellow)
Condition:   Fragment. Several joining pieces (dancer body joined from Lot 863 in 2007) preserving stumps of three dancers and flutist, another dancer from chest to base, and three-quarters of base. Traces of white slip.
