Description:   Part of a bronze pin consisting of the upper part of the shaft, square in section, then three biconical knobs, two small (Max. Diam. 0.007) with one larger (Max. Diam. 0.019) in between. Knobs separated by two rectangular sections tapering inwards toward the large knob, with small raised rings on either side of each knob. Above final knob, rectangular section tapering towards top, which ends in a very small knob (may be broken). Cf. Kilian-Dirlmeier, Nadeln der fruhell. Type IIIA, especially plate 35 (#1025-1035).
Decoration:   Faint traces of incised or impressed hatched lines forming a wave-like pattern on all rectangular sections. Cf. Kilian-Dirlmeier, Nadeln der fruhell., #1030.
Material:   Bronze
Condition:   Missing parts. Single fragment preserves upper part of pin, including three knobs; lower part of pin broken off.
