Description:   Terracotta solid handmade group of dancers moving in circle with arms joined around central figure (flutist). Dancer has wide strip of clay applied tightly around front of head as polos, clay overfold from back to front as head, broad rectangular face, very short neck, rt shoulder lower than lt, strips of clay as arms stretching from neck toward neighboring dancer, lt arm twisted forward, chest flattened, upper body tilted forward slightly, and cylindrical body flaring slightly at feet. Similar to MF-11490 and KT2-7, 8, 9, 10 (Corinth XV.2 Class II p. 43 no. 4-7 pl. 4).

Material:   Fine pink clay with frequent fine sparkling, few small to medium tabular angular white, few small to medium tabular angular red inclusions and rare small spherical angular voids

Condition:   Fragment. Two joining pieces (body from Lot 864 joined in 2007) preserving dancer from head to feet, part of rt arm and most of lt arm. Traces of white slip.
