Description: | Terracotta hollow mouldmade front and handmade back nude standing male, weight on rt leg, lt hip forward, upper arms close against sides bent slightly at elbow with lower arm angled forward. Figure wears mantle over head draping down onto shoulders, stephanos around front of head, thin band of hair frames oval face with almond shaped eye. Exaggerated musculature. Hair and stephanos stippled. Tooling on back. Similar to MF-3882 (Corinth XII, p. 52 no. 349 pl. 31) and MF-11912 (Corinth XVIII.4 p. 237 no. H299 pl. 49). | |
