Description:   Standing male partially clad in himation; right legbearing weight; right arm lowered, left raised;clearly articulated Polykleitan iliac crest;softly modeled stomach muscles; well-defined right pectoral; garment draped in peculiar fashion: across upper chest, down back in broad, flat folds, then drawn around right side with loose frequent folds over right hip and beneath iliac crest but pulled closely around upper right thigh with sharp ridges between broad planes of fabric revealing contour of thigh, then gathered between legs and at upper left thigh. Traces of point and punch in neck cavity show surface prepared for inserted head; running drill used in folds across upper chest, groin and along left side; flat chisel and claw chisel(?) for widely-spaced folds over right thigh and on back; traces of rasp over all surface.
Material:   White marble with possible micaceous veining
Condition:   Missing parts. Figure preserved from upper chest to lower thighs, badly broken; large chunks sheared off bothshoulders, across upper back, behind right side, ondrapery over left leg and along back left side;surface weathered and stained.
