Description:   Nude youth, somewhat over life-sized; stands with weight on r. leg, l. foot forward and slightly turned out, l. leg slightly bent; r. arm at side; l. arm bent with forearm extended forward; head turned slightly to proper r; hair worn short with curling locks laid close to head; framing face are 3 locks curling to proper r. in center, to proper r. of these are 3 locks curling in towards them, to proper l. are 3 curling away; eyes horizontal and deep-set with prominent upper lid; straight mouth with full lips; mantle gathered in loop over l. shoulder, hanging down l. side of back, wrapped counter-clockwise around l. forearm, falling down side of body in stacked folds and over tree-support to proper l. Torso well-modelled in front; pubic hair rendered by small curls; r. hand closed around cylindrical object (staff? missing), held downwards; l. wrist and hand worked separately and dowelled to forearm, iron pin in place; back not carefully finished; rasp marks over much of body, especially around sides; flat or bull-nosed chisel on upper back; drill work in drapery folds; claw chisel on tree support; pointing boss (?) on l. elbow, second to l. on l. forearm; third boss or strut on l. upper arm. Plinth rounded in front, following contours of stance; flat or bull-nosed chisel on top, point on sides; cutting for hook clamp in top surface, center front.
Material:   Fine-crystalled white marble, with wide micaceus vein running down back
Condition:   Missing parts. Three joining frgts.; complete except for left wrist and hand, r. thumb and forefinger, top of nose, object held in r. hand; deep pitting in upper back
