Description:   Somewhat under life-size head of woman, frontal, hair pulled back from face to a bun at back of head. Much of surface worn but a few strands visible at temples; hair curves down and over upper half of ears. Forehead low with rounded hair-line. Eye narrow, possibly upper lid overlapping lower at outer corner of lt. eye. Corners of mouth preserved, not deeply indented. Heavy round jaw. Vertical drill holes in canal of ear. On top of head round patch of lead 0.029 x 0.040, through which or over which iron, which has stained topo of head.
Material:   Moderately fine-crystalled, granular white marble.
Condition:   Fragment. Single frgt., head, top of neck; nose missing; head badly worn and abraded so that most of forehead, outside rt. eye, cheeks and mouth except corners surface of ears, hair missing. Iron incrustation over top of head.
