Description:   Fragment of an historical relief. Depicted is part of a ceremonial axe with a broad curved blade mounted on a handle D00.030; unclear whether the axe has double blade or a single one. With handle vertical, a second object partly visible to upper lt. on secondary plane behind blade; this has a broad beveled edge, flattened surface with an irregular edge continuing down along axe blade. Background left slightly rough with flat chisel. Surface of axe smoothed. Back sawn smooth with maeander-like pattern of lines roughly chiseled into surface; cement adhering to this surface.No immediate join with other frgts. of historical frieze although probably from same.
Material:   Very fine white marble with micaceous veining.
Condition:   Fragment. Single frgt., broken all edges, preserving part of front and back faces.
