Description: | Good copy of an Early Classical head of a young man. Head turned slightly to proper right, gazing into right distance. Brows and eyelids very sharply cut. Upper eyelid comes down over lower at outer corner while a sharp groove defines top curve of eyelid and sweeps down and out at corner parallel to line created by edge of eyelid. Foot of nose continues straight line of forehead. Lips slightly parted. Hair radiates from point at back top of head in overlapping rows of flame-like locks in the "bronze technique", except around the forehead where they have been somewhat heightened and enriched. Chisel marks left on back of neck. | |
