Description: | Silenos, standing with weight on left leg, right drawn slightly back. Wears shaggy leggings with rows of wavy locks of hair. Over this wears a short cloak or chlamys that falls to thigh level. Cloak hangs in a series of V-shaped folds, centered over rt. side; one free end hangs down left side, weighted with small round weight. Figure engaged to a background, partly preserved between legs and to proper right of figure. Flat chisel visible on drapery, point and claw on background. Material: | Fine-crystalled white marble with heavy micaceous veins, laminating fractures. | |
