Description: | Sphinx leg, from well above knee joint to below. Leg modelled with ridge down back offset on either side by concave channel, swelling slightly at knee joint. At joint at back large vestigia 1 toe, with nail on inside of leg. At upper break outside of leg a small conical indentation in surface. Above a small hole drilled horizontally through leg, falling behind central hole D00.005 which runs vertically though leg near front. Surface lightly polished. Leg modelled in coarse clay with fine surface slip. | |
