Description:   Pointed aryballos with tiny disk foot with central depression on undersurface; tall ovoid body with max. diam. At ca. 00.050, low rounded shoulder, narrow cylindrical neck H00.015, broad horizontal rim. Vertical strap handle attached to shoulder and rim.
Decoration:   Painted in dull black glaze and purple paint: foot reserved, stripe at base of body; band of tongues, tips up, H00.015; stripe at top; broad band with faint purple traces, narrow black, broad purple, narrow black bands; purple stripe at edge of shoulder. On shoulder tongues, with stems continuing onto base of neck. Neck, underside of rim reserved. 3 concentric black rings on rim; vertical stripe along either edge of handle with horizontal strokes down back.
Material:   Fine buff clay with rare coarse, popped white inclusions.

Condition:   Complete or intact. Intact, except for large chip from pick on shoulder with crack to upper body; glaze parly faded, perhaps in firing.
