Description:   Pyxis with flaring ring foot, flat resting surface, flat undersurface only slightly recessed from undersurface; ovoid body with max. diam. near median; flat overhanging rim. Lid very slightly convex with vertical flange set well in from edge, mushroom-shaped knob.
Decoration:   On pyxis, two bands of 3 rows of dots each, black and purple lines between; rays at base; foot black. On lid, similar patterns, and rays around knob; edge purple.
Material:   Fine Corinthian pinkish-buff clay; glazed uneven.
Condition:   Complete or intact. Both pyxis and lid intact.

Period:   5th c. B.C.
