Description:   Large krater with wide, rounded body, short vertical neck, flat projecting rim. At shoulder horizontal strap handles, upward tilted, their ends applied against the wall and turned slightly outward. From centers of horizontal handle to rim, vertical straps made of 11 fine rolled attached strips. A short distance to either side, outward projecting spurs at edge of lip.
Decoration:   Entirely glazed except for reserved shoulder panels, center front, back. Panels bordered below by 4 gands on one side, 3 on other; at edges columns of zigzags between 5 sets of verticals, 6 on one side. In central parts of panels borders above and below of conventionalized long-legged birds, r., 3 or 4 bands on either side. Center: procession of 3 skirted women to l., hands linked, holding palm branches. Each has triple tail-like line hanging down from waist toward right. In field columns of zigzags, rows of dots. Rim bordered by triple band, above by double. Zone between stepped at ends by multiple vertical parallels; between single-line key pattern. Top rim, tall pointed zigzag between bands. Inside glazed. Ends of horizontal handles reservered, banded, projecting ends dotted. Outer faces of these framed by triple bands, interlocking hatched maeander hooks. Ladder pattern on each strand of vertical part. In added white: just below max. diam. snake outlined in white dots, all around vase, head and tail overlapping at front off center. Between handle attachments, decorated panels, sets of concentric lozenges, dotted ring at center of each.
Material:   Reddish tan clay, withpossible fine inclusions, dull glaze, black to reddish brown.
Condition:   Fragment. Mended from many fragments, complete except for foot, l. handle, parts of body, much of rim.
