Description:   Hollow figurine of plump or pregnant seated woman, with arms at side, feet together; seat not rendered. Hair arranged in a large wave above forehead, pulled back into knot. Oval face with indistinct eyes, smeared nose, small mouth; wears short-sleeved chiton, belted just below the breasts; a few catenaries over stomach, folds gathered between and on either side of legs. Back only summarily modeled. Round vent hole D00.012 in mid back. Hair possibly retouched. From 2-part worn mould. For related type see MF-10765.
Writing:   inscribed. Impressed into upper back, perhaps from mould, Greek signature; surface flaked away at rt. Shoulder:
THEO[po]MPOY.
Material:   Gritty clay fired tan to orange with rare fine angular white inclusions, voids, a few sparkling inclusions.
Munsell Color:   5YR 5/6 to near 7.5YR 6/3.5
Condition:   Complete profile. Six+ joining frgts., complete except for left hand, parts of drapery over lower legs, front half of feet.
