Description: | Hollow figurine of plump or pregnant seated woman, with arms at side, feet together; seat not rendered. Hair arranged in a large wave above forehead, pulled back into knot. Oval face with indistinct eyes, smeared nose, small mouth; wears short-sleeved chiton, belted just below the breasts; a few catenaries over stomach, folds gathered between and on either side of legs. Back only summarily modeled. Round vent hole D00.012 in mid back. Hair possibly retouched. From 2-part worn mould. For related type see MF-10765. | |
