The body has a shape very closely resembling that of the smaller stirrup vases. The place of the stirrup handle is taken by a high cylindrical neck. From the rim of which two powerful round handles curve down to the shoulder of the vessel. The mouth is roughly elliptical in form, though whether this was intentional or merely accidental is not clear.
