Title:   MYCENAEAN MINIATURE CUP WITH ONE VERTICAL AND TWO HORIZONTAL HANDLES (?)

Description:   Possibly a Cup with One Vertical and Two Horizontal Handles (FF 75, FS 245), miniature, based on S-shaped profile, base, and horizontal handle, but second horizontal handle and vertical handle are not attested to confirm conjecture. FM 53, no. 17 not attested for FS 245, but for FS 220 which shares all features other than number of handles. Similar to French 1960, BSA 60, p. 167, fig. 4.4.
Decoration:   Dark brown Wavy Line (FM 53, no. 17) with four dark brown bands running below handles, on very pale brown open field, with dark brown band on interior and exterior of lip, light brown band on interior just below lip, and a three banded concentric circles on the bottom of the interior. Sides of base solidly dark brown. Dark brown blobs painted around and on both bases of handle and on top. Main motif similar to CVA Great Britain pl. 16.34; pattern of bands and ancillary decorations of interior and exterior similar to French 1960, BSA 60, p. 167, fig. 4.4.
Material:   Very fine very pale brown clay with no inclusions or voids.
Munsell Color:   10YR 8/3 (very pale brown)
Condition:   Fragment. Three joining frgts., preserving ca. 45% of vessel, whole profile preserved: rim, body, handle, base.
