In its earliest form, probably in the first half 1st century B.C., the building had two suites of three rooms built symmetrically along the axis of a central corridor. It has been suggested that this may have been either an archive building or library.; The building was partially demolished to make space for the Julian Basilica to the north in the first decade of the 1st century A.D. It was rebuilt on a different plan in the second quarter of the 1st century. A door from the north end of the portico gave admittance to a room divided into three aisles by colonnades each of three columns and two pilasters. At the south end was a transverse room entered from the central aisle. Fragments of an inscription found in and around the building suggest the building was erected by the same Gn. Babbius Philinus who built the Babbius Monument and Fountain of Poseidon at the west end of the forum.","","Corinthia | Ancient Corinth | Central Area | Forum | Southeast Building","" "Image","","","Corinth","bw 2002 004 28a","Corinth:Image:bw 2002 004 28a","Hellenistic pot","","Corinth:Image:bw 2002 004 28a::/Corinth/Photos/negatives/year_roll/2002_004/2002_st_004_028A.jpg::1800::1194","","","","Corinthia | Ancient Corinth | Central Area | Forum","" "Image","","","Corinth","bw 1962 027 01","Corinth:Image:bw 1962 027 01","Molded Relief Bowl","Lucretia","Corinth:Image:bw 1962 027 01::/Corinth/Photos/negatives/year_roll/1962_027/1962_st_027_001.jpg::1800::1202","7/4/1962;9/4/1962","Film: Illustrations for G.R.Edwards Film Type: Adox KB 14","","","" "Image","","","Corinth","bw 1962 027 02","Corinth:Image:bw 1962 027 02","Molded Relief Bowl","Lucretia","Corinth:Image:bw 1962 027 02::/Corinth/Photos/negatives/year_roll/1962_027/1962_st_027_002.jpg::1800::1196","7/4/1962;9/4/1962","Film: Illustrations for G.R.Edwards Film Type: Adox KB 14","","","" "Publication","American School of Classical Studies at Athens","","Corinth","Edwards, Corinth 7:3, 1975","Corinth:Publication:Edwards, Corinth 7:3, 1975","Corinth VII.3.
