Partly hollow towards top, likely result of finger pinching; similar to CP-2891. Voids in fabric likely result of organic temper; many appear to be filled with calcium carbonate. | |
Decoration: | Black-burnished. Two bands of incised crosshatching: lower band extends about 2/3 around foot. For incised cross-hatching motif, see Phelps 2006, Fig. 61.18. | |
Material: | Fairly fine reddish yellow clay with rare small white spherical angular, rare small black spherical angular inclusions and frequent spherical to tubular voids. | |

Condition: | Fragment. Two joining frgts., preserving most of leg; foot missing. Granular breaks at both ends; light gray discoloration all over clay at breaks. Surface mostly smooth; patches of white accretions and wear on burnishing. | |
