Description:   Deep bowl, FS 284. 2 joining sherds from PV show traces of burning. Rim flares only very slightly; handles high-set.
Decoration:   Wet-smoothed, lustrous surface. Monochrome interior. Band at rim out, plain zone, band below zone, 3 splashes on handle
Material:   fine clay with fairly large amount of very fine grit which has been burned out of fracture and surface and has pocked the surface a bit
Munsell Color:   Fracture: 2.5 YR 5.5/6 (red/light red); surface: 5 YR 6.5/6 (reddish yellow); Paint: 10 R 5/8 (red)
Condition:   Fragment. 12 sherds mended into 8 non-joining fragments. Ca. 2/3 of profile preserved. None of base or lowest part of body, ca. 20% of upper body and rim, and stump of one horizontal loop handle preserved.
