Description:   Sima with flat overhang transitions at almost 90 degree to projecting lower edge (H. 0.063), to vertical decorative field (H. 0.123 high) to narrow projecting upper edge (H. 0.02). Left side raised outward and rounded in semicirle as bedding for lion head spout(?); on right: finished edge raised around edges and depressed in center to socket in another block. Back intended to support another tile behind it and has 90 degree transition from horizontal to vertical at point of decorative field.
Decoration:   Overhang white up to black painted band with double bead and reel pattern at edge. Projecting edge painted black with running meander in white, with checkerboard square with inside of square outlined in red inside every other one. Main decorative field has black background with two raised double spirals embellished on left side by acanthus leaf(?) that ends in scalloped edges for more naturalistic vegetal effect. See Broneer 1954, Corinth1.4, pl. 20, no. 1, for similar example.
Material:   Coarse pale yellow clay with few medium to large subrounded angular and tabular angular gray and red inclusions with rare small-medium voids.
Munsell Color:   5Y 8/2-3 (pale yellow)
Condition:   Complete profile. Single frgt., preserving part of overhang, all of front and part of back.
