Description:   Standed lamp with stepped foot with flat resting surface, conical shaft, flaring convex lamp bowl with bevelled out lip, bowl separated from shaft by semicircular ridge, inner domed candle rest. For similar conical shaft, cf. L 4090.
Decoration:   Dark gray slip overall exterior and interior shaft, splotches of yellowish-brown glaze.
Material:   Coarse reddish yellow clay, fired dark grayish brown at core, with common, large to very large, rounded spherical white lime and white, gray and black stone inclusions and rare medium voids.
Munsell Color:   Surface: 5/YR 6/6 (reddish yellow), Core:10YR 4/2 (dark grayish brown), Slip:10YR 4/1 (dark gray)
Condition:   Complete profile. Four joining frgts preserve 90% of base and body, half of lamp bowl, no handle. Scattered dots of glaze visible in a few places.
