Description:   Moldmade, North African lamp, Broneer Type XXXI. Keyhole shaped disk with two filling holes and framing ring enclosing disk and channel. Rim with plain outer edge with circular depressed area. Broad channel on nozzle, with air hole. Fin-like knob handle. Raised circular ring foot connected by ridge to base of handle.
Decoration:   On disk, decorative motif with chalice or urn from which a spiraling vine emerges as L 1969 154 (Garnett, Hesperia 44.2, cat. 23). On rim, alternating squares and rosettes (cf. L 1969 162)
Material:   Fine very pale brown clay, soft, chalky.
Munsell Color:   10 YR 8/3 (very pale brown)
Condition:   Complete profile. Single piece, missing tip of nozzle, chipped along shoulder. Blackened from fire around nozzle hole.
